Ranger pics taken in the past 2 days...who knew?

I like how the dude is holding on, kind of chillin, and it makes you wonder if he's actually serving some purpose back there... Ha.

The other was spotted today. Stock Ranger 4 cyl.

AND...now, the biggest shackle I have ever seen... 300 & 400 ton shackles taken from last week's Offshore Technology Conference (an annual oil & gas exhibition in Houston).

Shackle to lift a shackle?

Did that Ranger Rice sound as crappy as it looks?

Actually, these are real. I used to work up in Michigan with the ironworkers, millwrights and riggers. The company I worked for, CCC, had a warehouse of stuff they rarely used because it was so big but they had to keep it for the jobs that needed really big chains, chokers and shackels. The chokers literally would be as big around as your thigh.....no joke. You did have to lift it with another choker to put it on the gantry crane. Cool stuff Pete.

Is the brochure next to it 8" x 12". It would look good/ridiculous on my truck. Not sure I'd wanna pay for it though..... estimating in the $500 - $1000 range????:icon_confused:

about that rice ranger!!! how did it sound?

I actually tried to listen to it...it was quiet pretty much quiet the whole time. I was surprised. It just looked...well, not that appealing. It was barely audible just before his auto tranny sifted...

Not sure, but waaay more than that, I guarantee. We use straps rated to 12K lbs that cost $200 for 12'...I can't even give you a ballpark figure for that cost.

Nope, just 2 Rangers I happened to see trolling around Housont's streets these past few days.

My dad is a safety director in Michigan and I just checked with him. He said you can expect to pay about $17,000 each. But they last forever, too; if you don't overload them.
