ranger pulling an f150

:icon_thumby::idiot::icon_hornsup:...I almost cried, it just so darn beautiful

One word: "LOCKERS"

But ya, gotta love the Ranger pride. :icon_cheers:

No locker in the front of that Ranger. The left front wheel stops spinning while the rears are going 80 KPH. Makes that video even better, stock Ranger pulling out a full size truck !!!

Not bad for a new Ranger.

If it woulda been a First gen it wouldnt of suprised me at all :)

I need to take a video at work one day when we get a Forklift stuck. We got the big one stuck today in the mud (Its got dual front tires on it, 11000 lb lift) it took a yard mule 4 feet of slack to free it.

THATS when your stuck.

later,
Dustin

Here is a pic of me pulling my dad's f-150 4x4 out.

HAHAHAHA, thats an awesome video. Funniest part was when he got the inside and his back window all covered in mud lol. Ranger FTW :D

Bwahahaha...what a dipstick. Kinda funny...they shoulda get a lil more slack in the strap and it woulda come out sooner.

+1 to that man. Slack will give it that nudge to free it up. My dad doesnt believe in that tho. He had me pull out a bush for him which had some deeper roots. He kept telling me just let the truck roll and it will eventually come out. Well about 1 minute of doing it his way, I backed up and gave it a lot of slack. Revved up to about 3 grand and dropped the clutch :icon_hornsup: while in 4x4 low. My way it came out the first try :icon_hornsup:. Left a big tire mark in the lawn but o well. Its give and take. I always take the same approach when pulling out people. I dont dump the clutch but I leave some slack and just just drive like he isnt even behind me.

+1 To that. I've seen a lot of people take the slack out of their tow line before trying to pull someone out, I get a bit of a running start on a difficult pull.

it never hurts to start with a little tension and then get a little more slack each time till it works. that way you dont break anything that doesnt need breaking.

The only thing that could have made this video better was if the Ranger was pulling out a Z71.

To be in context. I meant "lockers" would be wise. Thou now I do what you mean. Its even better that it was stock.

Just don't be yanking with a chain....have to be very carefull with a chain or cable because they can snap, fly around and cut a person in half. I've had to use a chain before cause it was all we had with us, you can still exceed it's strength and snap it even without the slack type yank. I try to always carry my 30' strap.

A strap or even a cable can snap easy too.

My dad either knew a guy, or his friends knew a guy who go killed becuase his winch cable came through the windsheild.

Alittle different than pulling with another but you get the piont. Pulling anything out with anythign can be extremly dangerous if you don't do it right.

But that is still very funny that the Ranger pulled it out. I like all the mud inside the canopy too. :clapping:
