Ranger Meet (NOO 56k)

i disagree, i own a 2wd and living here in S.FLA holeylands is the place to ride if you think you got balls, and for those of you who dont know that area, it swallows swamp buggies, i made it out to the nearst camp about 5 miles off the levi with my little 2wd with pep boys brand mts and never got stuck, but the lifted 4x4 f150 burried itself in a hole i simply crawled through, so who ever says 2wd cant go offroad, come down here and i bet a weeks pay that you'll take back that comment, equipment helps but its what the driver can drive

If you are 2wd and in the Holey Lands you are not crawling through anything out there. You more than likely will have the pedal to the metal and staying on top of it because you are so light. I've been out there and it is bottomless in most spots. It's not like Corbett where most of the trails are hard bottom packed sand. You are right though about the big heavies out there. They sink. Light and fast will win out there usually.

All & all nice pics, glad you had fun.

yea speed help but my suspension was taking a beating so slow and steady won the race for me, plus i have been stuck before at l-cross and it was as easy as getting my atv to pull myself out, it sucks holeylands is closed:bawling::bawling:

Remember this folks. 2wd will lose to 4wd every time with equal drivers. Skill of the driver does matter but all things equal, 2wd sucks.

I could say my 4x4 Ranger is a better race car than a Ferrari F50. If my daughter was driving the F50, I would be correct.

Why is Holey Lands closed? Do you mean for ATVs? Corbett is also to ATVs. They allow the UTVs though.

next time let me now i will take the F150 out to pull you out

But when i get the ranger to finished i will need you guys to do an sas so we can play fowl the leader.

Save you money. I am making my return to Rubicon in the spring with the mighty 78 Bronco.

there is no need to be assholes to what seems to be a young group of people playing around. i bet less than half you shit talkers would stand a chance in hell running some of the ohio trails we run. i have friends and pictures to back it up too. believe me there are vastly different types of wheeling and everyone builds there rigs for there local kind of wheeling. if you are not locked in atleast one diff and running swampers of similar tires you dont stand a prayer in my neck of the woods. a few people who have posted in this thread know exactly what i am talking about.

holeylands is some sick mud, hell its the everglades, but the poker run now thats an event, trcuks, atvs and buggies go from camp to camp all night long, but holeylands is clased as of july 1st (FWC DUMBASS IDEA) to all atv rec riders, only to hunters and trucks and buggies but its so wet now its airboat country, i hold many good memories at that place and hope they decided to reopen it, but since its closed max fish camp and 8th and krome ( water management district property) have been the new spots to go play, just one thing its also illegal there is no where to ride except in okeechobee and thats only a monthly event, but the ranger crew i hang with goes to a mudhole (old constructin site) and tears it up everytime it rains .... GOT MUD??

o and one more thing, i own a 2wd utilty atv, i bought for less then 400 dollars, i put 1000 into it and customized it to my likings, and with its lightness and tires, i have showed many of my friends up on how their big beefy lifted atvs sink where i jus lean back and pin the throttle, i got a pic of me stuck up in the FWC office, it took one bike to harness me out of the hole and 3 to winch my bike, hey its all good, spend 7000 on a 4x4

If you go in on Bird then you are fine as there are no signs there (talking about 8th street). I know you are not telling me your 2wd goes to 8th and hangs with the 4wds on the trails. I've been there a few times and 2wd in a truck ain't happening unless you have a locker in the rear and even then I'd have to see a video or in person to believe it.
