The other day my wife decided to clean my work truck it dosent have carpet so she used the water hose to the floors now my speedo dosent work right, abs light is on truck dosent have abs, od light is flashing, 3rd and od gears are slipping 1st and 2nd ok, truck sputters and bearly runs is there something under the dash she may have got wet its a 00 reg cab 4x2 3.0 flex auto

I've never worked on one but that sounds like the computer to me. Maybe the connecter/plug for the obd2 scanner on the driver side got water in it and it shorted the computer? Or maybe the computer it's self got wet. In the gen1 rangers it was on the passenger side behind the kick pannel. Might try blowing the obd2 plug out with air then start it to see what it does.

Ahhhhh, ahhhhhhhh!!! Why not have her do your oil change with the hose??? Flush out that dirty oil.....lol

Lucifer-Holly shit I didn't think there was anybody out there that was really that dumb! That was very enlightening though!

Haaaaaa. Yes...I know this has happened before. I know about it from seeing and hearing other people who had this great brain fart of an idea. That is why I posted my response.....lol DUHHHHHHHHH.

Stray- Its almost unbelievable hahaha. I sure wish this guy had videoed it! I told my buddy about it last night and we got to talking about motors and then he told me about another buddy of his that works with him. Well he used to work for a dealership and when they were doing the cash for clunkers bs they had thes white stuff they poured in the oil. He said it would seize a motor in a few min to a hour if you let it keep running. Well they got a F-150 in with a 5.0 and they poured it in. Well after 4 hours it was still running so they drained the oil. It lasted for almost 5 more hours with no oil and that white stuff had been poured in it. He said the block was glowing red, the freeze plugs melted out and it was running like shit but it just kept going!

Yep and they got paid to do it!

The key here is that you are not supposed to hose out the inside of the truck. One of the modules got wet. Not sure which one, could be the GEM, the IC, the PCM, or all of them.
