Hi everyone! I've been lurking around checking out the forums ever sense a friend gave me is 01 Ranger XLT for basically free, but now I have a few questions I haven't been able to find the answers to.

First off I kept hearing a strangle rattling sound under the passenger floor whenever the engine was under load. Come to find that the cats are hitting against the frame when the engine moves. Their around 1/8 of an inch from the frame or so.

So I was wondering if anyone might have the frame measurements for a 2001 Ranger XLT 4x4 Supercab?

The other was going to be a transmission issue but I think I already figured it out. Oh and yes it does have a rebuilt title.

With Mac's Handy dandy pdf, grab a plumb bob and some string and get under the truck. hang the plumb bob from the body mount bolts (same position as possible on all bolts) and mark where it touches on the driveway. then you can measure a little more accurately and easier by measuring the marks where the plumb bob touches the drive. Compare to the pdf and you should have some answers. if the pdf that Mac supplied is for a different style than your truck (super cab, long bed short bed standard cab etc) just remember that your diagonals to the body mount points should be equal to each other.

I have with no results, thats why I'm asking.

Bad mount some place that made the cats move?

I don't see any mounts torn or worn out...

His question on the new post was 'Ranger frame measurements?'
These qustions have come up here several times and I was pointing him that way.

Finally got around to checking it today, Everything was square but some of the measurements where off from that sheet.

I'll re check motor and trans mounts again but something just still seems off so I made an appointment at the body shop to check out the frame.
