I thought I would share this in case anyone was looking for oil, transmission, coolant, differential or fuel tank capacities for the 1994 Ford Rangers with 2.3L, 3.0L, or 4.0L motors.

Not to be a downer, but those of us who already know the fluid type/capacity won't use it. Worse yet, most who do not know this information are too lazy to find it so they instead make a post to ask the question. Its a good thought, but we have an entire tech library full of info that seem to get overlooked because there are plenty of questions asked that could be answered with a 5 minute browse of the library.

On the plus side, all the idiots bring traffic to Jim's website.

Unlike the other guy, I don't have a real good memory. I found the chart real useful. I am saving a copy. Hopefully, I will at least remember where I put it. :)

Thanks for this info. Couldn't find an owners manual and this was a quick reference. Know its old. Just wanted to say thanks

But the tech library is incorrect. It shows 4 quarts with filter change for a 2.3L while the owners manual clearly says 5 quarts, just like his picture shows. I'm not sure which mod to PM to fix this, but the incorrect info is still posted on this websites reference library.

Fixed it.

The best place to find out what fluids your Ranger needs as well as the capacities is in the back of your owners manual. If you don't have one, we have 1995-Present at:

Cool beans. TY for the fix. Sometimes I'll just do a quick google search for the info instead of flipping thru my manual, but I had to go to the index of my manual to verify. From my past memory, 4 quarts didn't seem right which got me second guessing my own memory.

Thanks for finding the mistake and letting me know.
