I am swpping dana 35 front from 93 explorer into 87 ranger. will the drop steering arm from an explorer fit on the ranger steering box ? or will ihave to get the hole machined.? The stud taper on the explorer drag link is larger than on the ranger. the ranger has a drop arm on it. thanks.

IF I understand the question, why not just use Ranger steering linkages?

I thought they were all the same though.....

Ford only had one steering gear box for all of it's trucks. Ranger, Explorer, BII, F-series, they are all the same piece those years.
