I've searched the forum and can't quite find the answer to my question. So, if there's a post or sticky with the info I apologize. And please send a link!

Would an 01' Ranger have the same steering knuckles as an '02-'05 Explorer?

Are the spindles the same?

'96-'01 Explorer* would have same steering knuckle as '01-'11 Ranger. '02 Explorer moves from the torsion bar to the coil spring (it has a different Ford part number anyways).

*02 Explorer Sport (2dr) and '02-'05 Explorer Sport Trac still have the older torsion bar suspension.

it should be noted that about 2003/4 the Ranger 4x4 knuckle changed. the caliper anchor bracket holes moved out 3/8" inch. that moved the calipers out allowing for a larger 12" rotor. the 2 knuckles are otherwise identical.
