oh c'mon now. i've had like 1500 lbs in my truck bed of steel. my truck handled it just fine i'm pretty sure a full yard doesn't weigh that much

1 yard of top soil weighs between 2100 and 2400 pounds depending on moisture. Yeah 1500 is easy, but with the dirt it was scary stupid to do it. Now the driver side rear leaf pack sits lower then the passenger side.

also if you look at my thumb nail under my name. that big load in the back is chunks of concrete. remodeling my house. That load is a hair over 1700 lbs. That is about is full as I feel comfy with.

Haha I may have worded that wrong. Dads are full of knowledge. I never hesistate to ask him for advice. But sometimes he can be a pain. Like currently I'm trying to put on headers and after tapping out the passenger side threads my dad wanted to tap out the drivers side holes in the head. And i said be careful. He then replied (quote) "The strongest man in the world couldn't break off a tap by hand" Well...two holes in he snapped the tap off flush in the head. So that stalled my project haha. But I agree with you there bud! Me and my ranger are package deals

I brought home 1800lbs of coal the other day...

MY truck was dead level.

"rake" does serve a purpose.
If your truck has some rake when empty you don't look overloaded
when you actually carry something in the truck.

I've had the back of my Ranger filled to the max with logs, probably about 1200 lbs. She rode like a champ, but my engine (2.3 4 cyl.) felt it!

The Rangers are tougher than they look!

Don't try to pull a 94 Chevy K3500 20 miles to the Dealer with a 2wd 4 cyl. Got the job done and got some funny looks, but probably wasn't a good idea lol.

i drove 4 yds of wet topsoil in my chevy(1/2 ton) about 10 miles away. it did fine


oh and dont show tell chevy guys your ranger can beat them. they DONT take it well


and dont put 2 tons of red brick on a flatbed ranger while back bumper is on stairs (so i was told)

this was in a chevy s10 i saw this at home depot the guy working the forklift said its not a good idea to put two pallets of shingles in that truck but they said it would be fine the axle snaped before they left the parking lot. it was very funny to watch but would hate for it to happen to me but the good thing is live and learn
