Sandblast plastic???

Yup, As long as you dont hold it in the same place for too long it works out fine. I used a sandblaster the remove the color from my emblems when I repainted them. If you think sand is to aggressive, then you could use glass beads.

Okay. I just had this mental picture of what the plastic would look like based upon what some looked like from getting sandblasted before. Either the grit was too course, or Johnny held the nozzle in one place too long, or too close, or maybe the plastic was too soft to begin with. Dunno. Let's just say that it wasn't pretty.
 
I used sand on the emblem pictured above, but I have used glass beads in my blast cabinet for stripping paint of plastic model cars and die cast aluminum. I have heard that you can use some sort of walnut shell mix to blast the color off a pop can.:dunno:
