I am going to be replacing another clutch slave in the company rig.
here is my problem we have 4 trucks the 2003 2.3L has about 140k on it. its has yet to have a slave problem.

Are three 3.0L 2003 to 2004 thy have about 120k to 150k on them, its seems about every 20 to 30k thy leak start to leak. factory slave lasted about 60k to 70k. Thy see tons of town miles on them.
Is there a better brand out there or do i need to be looking at something else? also it seem when thy fail there is alot of metal particles in the fluid. i flush it the system out every time i change them.

sounds like your master is shredding it self, or possibly the slave. Buy better quality. no sure where your getting them, but dont cheap out or you get to do them every 20-30K

I been getting mind from Napa. i dont remember right off the top of my head who makes them.
I thought only the slave had metal parts in it. when i had the master out it was all plastic.

then the slaves are tearing them selfs apart till they leak. buy a ford OEM. napa clutches and slaves are.... well crap.

What i am wondering if there is something that is causing the slaves it fail. slaves from Ford is about $130.00 and i don't want to be replacing them every 20k to 70k
it seem strange that all three 3.0L OEM failed at 60k to 70k and the one 2.3L has yet to fail at 140k.
