Ranger Camper

The door might be a little wider but I don't think it is enough wider to really write home about. Taller because it has a lower entry, probably makes the door look narrow.

I really don't like the entry of the one in the video. The door doesn't have to be wide because you have to go in sidesaddle until you are well into the thing because the sink is right there in your teeth.

To me it doesn't even look as if you could put a 20 gal tote through the door.

I just looked... it's close to $33k American. What a steal!

It could very well be the camera angle on the door...

New ones ain't cheap. The empty shell FWC's are like $15k without that thing hanging off the back with a bathroom.

Skamper 072S door opening measures 20" wide by 42" tall.

Mechanism doesn't look like it would interfere with a two part door @ericbphoto. I know on mine the torsion system puts a lot of strain on the board across the top of the roof, I bet there has to be something going across the back of the camper tub for that.

That makes sense. On the trailer version, there isn't really any stress on the wall on either side of the door.

The measurements on the German/British thing are in metric. I don't do metric unless I have to.

I don't like communist units either but I didn't see where they actually said anything for the door.

Subliminal message;
Embrace the metric system. Embrace the metric system. 90% if the time it's easier and makes sense.

My world has too much standard in it for metric to stick.

Then you have to memorize how many centimeters are in a foot, liters/100 km are in a mpg, and so on. It’s bad enough that they swapped cubic inches for liters on engines.

why did they start that crap anyways? the earliest I can recall of it was the pontiac firebird/trans am with “6.6” on the hood scoop, late 70’s. I know its a 400 (which sounds better)

A ranger camper would be cool and all, but I'm not sure I'd trade it for my setup with the F350 and ~9' camper, with that setup I can still tow a boat or the Ranger on a trailer, plus the wife doesn't mind camping that way :)

400 is more than 6.6.

I’m amazed they have such short doors. We had a Starcraft pop-up camper. The door on it was in two pieces. The upper half was on a frame that folded down from the roof when you opened everything up. Seems these could have the same thing.

Mine goes both ways, I wouldn't mind a 3/4 ton so I can have my Skamper and tow my ranger with the whole crew.
