My credo
Low range in Nova Scotia on YouTube!
I have a 1354 in my 91 ranger which is 2.44 low range(I think) and I have a t/case from a 93 f150 (2.69) and wondering if I can swap them? Will the spline etc fit?
I know flange compared to slip joint etc, just curious if the t/case will bolt to my 5spd.

minor detail but 1354s are 2.48 low range.

not a direct bolt-on, 5 mounting bolts vs 6 and the spline is larger.

of course with enough money anything can be made to fit. you do have lots of money laying around don't 'ya ?

The simplest way to use the F150 case would probably be to swap the engine and transmission in with it.

Bolt pattern is different, shaft/splines are different, shift linkage is different and the driveshaft outputs are different too...

Well crap, thanks for the replies guys. If I use the tranny too then I’ll have to use a 302. Not that is bad, but I’m breaking stuff with the power of the 4.0, don’t need more power, just want slower crawl speed.
Thanks again.

I am not sure if they made a 4wd version of the C4?

If they did you could possibly put that tail housing on a RBV C5 (or the V6 C5 bellhousing on the C4 if it is case fill) and then put a fullsize t-case on the back of that...

I know people have made doublers with two RBV cases, you might check into that too.

Thanks 85, I don’t think I have room for a doubler, rear shaft is only 38” or something like that. Would be quite the angles with a 15-20” shaft lol. I saw a rbv c5 once and that was about 12 years ago.
If you saw my axle thread, I’m rethinking everything. I found one ton axles but they are 3.55’s too, maybe find one tons with 3.73’s or 4.10’s. I saw a f450 power stroke with 5.38’s, but he wants $1000 for them. That would crawl though! Lol!

I had parts of a RBV C5 in mine for quite awhile (unsure of exact build but I had a 302 on one end and a 1350 on the other end) I have seen a couple in yards too but its been a few years. Not quite like an A4LD where you can swing a dead cat in the JY and hit three of them but they are out there.

Regear would be good. I know for other fullsize t-cases I don't think a doubler is quite as intrusive for length (like NP203/205)... and of course Atlas if you want to go that route.

Did you say $$$atlas$$$$?
Lol, this is just a toy I play in the mud with, and more importantly, I’m freaking cheap!
Another guy just messaged me, he has a 06 f350 sd diesel chassis he’d sell me for $1000. He pulled the engine and trannny, t/case, the rest is there. It’s worth it but it’s about 6-7hrs away.

More decisions.....

That is like half of an Atlas for a mud toy?!
