Ranger 2.3 to explorer 4.0 wiring problem

So I'm doing my swap. And I come across this harness that I believe goes to the trans and the fuel pump/brake lights. And the plugs are different, and there are way more wires on the ranger harness than on the explorer harness that is going in. What I would like to do it splice the wires to fit the ranger harness with the plug from the explorer so I don't have to take the fuel tank out on both vehicles and swap all the wiring over. Here is the explorer harness

Ranger is a 94 originally a 2.3 5 speed 2wd and the explorer is a 94 4.0 auto 4r55e

I wouldn't be surprised if you could just play match game with it and have everything working. But, the thing to do would be get the wiring diagrams for each vehicle..
