Rangebe...version 2.0

Thanks boys. Picked up some plate today to plate the frame, and front ttb beams...maybe do some of that this weekend.

Made some templates, and cut out my plates for my beams. The steel is 0.125" . Went over to my buddies, who let me use his plasma.

I just formed them into shape with my ball peen hammer. I fully welded in the bottom plate, and flap-disced it smooth.

The drivers front plate is just tacked in for now. Will do some more work tomorrow perhaps.

Burned in the front piece. What you dont see is that in the center of the plate, I had cut big long gaps, about 1/4" thick, and filled them with weld, securing the plate to the center of the beam, not just the periphery.

Those look awesome!
How many hours do you have into just the beam by now?

way too many....by the time both beams are plated and trussed, it will be close to 70 hours.

what did you do with the tubes runninig to the engine and the other one running from the intake tube for the snorkel?

still have them. Not sure if Im going to keep the snorkel with the prerunner fibreglass fenders or not....what sayith TRS?

Its getting an H.O. 302....leaning towards not using the snorkel. HOWEVER....the snorkel was a gift from my wife as an engagement present....and would look better on my wall than on someone else's rig....plus its worth about 450$, which I doubt anyone would pay anyways.

Got the back of the drivers beam plated.

Fluidyne aluminum radiator, flex-a-lite dual electric fans and metal shroud, 2 NEW spare felx-a-lite fan motors, rad mounts, and oil filter relocation kit.

Look like mustang parts. You mounting the radiator in the back? I think I am gonna move mine, space is limited up front.

Yep. Rad was cooling a 427 stroker, so it should cool a stockish 302 more than adequately. Yes, rear mounted radiator, and rear mounted fuel cell. Wondering if I can get away with a stock water pump, or if I should bite the bullet and get a Meziere electric pump. What did you do for motor mounts? and could you do me a favor sometime, and measure how far rearward the transmission crossmember is, in comparison to the cab mount or something? going to make my radius arm brackets/tranny x member and would like to have an idea where to put them.
