5 beeps 5 times is an airbag code. My light doesn't come on.
So you're saying replace the light, beeps go away?

i have the same thing. and it repeats every 45 minutes or so when driving. my airbag light was going off for a long time. the light went out and now i have the beep. theres a little black box under the dash on the passenger side up behind the glove box. i havent had a chance to tear into it yet but thats where the noise is coming from. its way the hell up in there though

Count the flashes, post the code = receive help! If there is no airbag light, THAT is the problem (beeping is "back-up" notification of the problem.

Your airbag light in the cluster is burnes out they beep like that when the go out.
by any chance is it a 4x4? mine made noise when the shift motor went out, even when i put it back in 2hi it still made noise untill it sat for 10+ hours.
It's the airbag light. i replaced it, and have an airbag sensor out. so i just live with the light on for now. its better than living with with the beep.

...I have the same beep on startup and then after 30min I have the check engine light on and I think both airbags are deployed...I hate that stupid beep but don't want to tear it apart just for that!

My 95 had a problem with the beeper going off all the time.
Was told that there is a Master Control Module under the Dash that needs to be replaced, yup cut the wire...
Nothing has come of the beeper being cut out of the circuit.
Saved over $500 by not replacing the MCM.
Got rid of the truck after running it for 4 years without the beeper.
Funny... hah
