I was thinking of making my B2 into a rally car. I was thinking of using 2wd ranger coils up front. Flip kit with explorer leaf springs. Keep my dana 35 and keep my lockers front and back for better traction. And poly bushing all over? Am I missing any thing? Good idea or bad idea?

Depends on the rules you race under. Best check first if they even allow a B2.

If I was to start over, I wouldnt use a TTB front for rally.

Yes, it's great for jumping. Not so good for cornering. It depends on what type of rally you do. Mine has minimal jumps.

The series I was running was as grass roots as it gets. Pretty much everyone was a novice, including me. My avatar pic was taken at my first practice...
You need to research what is available close to you. Then plan your build around the track/s you would run and the rules. Be aware that crashes are inevitable and all your work can go up in flames. Dont be attached to your vehicle...
My cheap as I could build race truck is somewhere in the neighborhood of C$10,000. Safety is a big part of the cost.

Even though I think a Rally Bronco II would be pretty cool... I also think there are forces that prevent it from being a great choice.

You can check some of the rally forums based in your area in the for sale section. You will save a LOT of time building and spend less money long term.
Mine I didnt have a source so had to build myself. I wouldnt have had the upfront money anyways, and I enjoy building stuff.

You talking actual stage rally or autocross style rally-x?

Find a series. Read the rule book.

The rally-x series up my way requires a vehicle be wider than it is tall to prevent roll overs.
