Ok I have made it to the point were I need my arms I have my front end tore down for a gear swap and want to do it wile it's apart. I have looked at this truck till i'm sick of looking at it trying to thought out. ok the stock arms bend inward at the frame, Everone I have seen has been straight? My tires rub now so wouldn't making them sight cause it to rub more? Another reason I want to make these were my tires won't rub them as bad I'v all ready tore a lug off.

All so has anyone ever used 2x3 1/4? I have some from another project and don't need a 21ft stick of tubeing right now. lol

When I did mine I extended them at the c-channel part of the arm by inserting a section of appropriate size c-channel (don't remember measurements, it was so long ago). I also moved the frame ends inboard where they mount to a custom cross-member. It gave me enough room to mount double shocks on the arms and no rubbing, I'm only running 33 x 12.5 x 15 though.

you wouldn't have a pic would you? Can the axle end of the radius arm be turned a bit to allow more of a bed in the arms to clean a tire? I'm on 34x10.5s Was thinking I may have to change wells to one with more back spacing, Not sure what I got now I know there 15x8s.
on the frame/cross member end, How do I know how much to angel it in?

And I think i'm going to go for the 2x3 on this, I know over kill but that is money i'v saved for some other part. lol

Thanks again for the help.

I used channel so that i could add additional metal inside the joints,I also angled the joint very slightly, one way to keep the caster angle close to stock and inward slightly for tyre clearance and also to allow for the double shocks (I'm using jeep springs, it needs them). The frame end mounts are just inside of the frame rails, you can't go too far in or you run into issues of driveshaft clearance. I also pushed the axle forward about half an inch to gain some clearance with the bulkhead. If you have a bunch of square tube and a welder you can create any size channel you need. I don't have any pictures but I'll see if I can find my camera and take a few, the parts might be covered in crap and rust but will give you an idea.

OK, I took a couple of pictures but I can't post them so if you would like to pm me an email address, I'll email them to you.
