Radius Arm Extension

yeah, that is Dustin's BII....they have worked real good for him:icon_thumby:

only thing you should do is run a gusset down the length of the arm....

does anyone know what the pros and cons of the heim joint vs the threaded stud are. i would assume you would get more flex out of the heim joint

heim flexes more but wears quickly on street trucks. i think more vibration and road harshness travels thru them too

Not just street trucks. The dirt and mud and crap exposed off road adds to the wear and tear of the heim too. Most people recommend the other ones because heims wear out too fast.

I wouldn't trust those at all unless you do like railman said and reinforce them along the length of the arm. Simply screwing them on & welding them around the end is asking for a bent or broken arm.

that is what happened to Dustin....they bent....we were able to use a jack to bend them back as a trail fix....

he got some more stock radius arms and is gusseting them....

Hey yeah thats me. Yeah they are a very good alternative to expensive long arms. But like its been said, you need to gusset them. They screw onto the stock arms and the threaded part of the stock arm is not very strong. Outside of that, they work well. I think I also mentioned in my build thread, you'll have to do a little cutting to the frame for them to sit flush.
