I went to get the front end of my B2 re-aligned yesterday and found out that I need new tie rod ends, radius arm bushings and axle pivot bushings. ( I think he was screwing with me by syaing the radius arm bushings need replacing, as they look all right and not cracked) Just replced the tie rods today, and they definatly needed it.

The guy who was doing the alignment was explaining the "clunk" noise that I hear. He mentioned it as being the axle pivot bushing, wich I looked at, and it seems to be in need of replacing. Should that noise be created by the axle sliding just a wee bit when I brake hard or turn the steering wheel? Or is the sound being created by the need of new radius arm bushings?

In my case that clunk comes when accelerating off the line in first gear (stick shift) and it is my radius arm bushings. They were shot. l replaced them and voila` all is well again.
