I have a 2004 Ford Ranger with OEM radio....

The battery went dead and a friend helped me jump it.... unfortunately I did not watch closely and he reversed the leads. He quickly corrected and all seemed OK...

Later I discovered the radio was dead.....I cannot find a blown fuse anywhere.
Is there a fuse on the back of the radio or does anyone know where to look.:dunno::dunno::dunno:

No fuse on the radio itself.

Radio has two power wires:
Full time power to hold Clock time and Pre-set stations
And Key on power, powers radio for listening

The full time power hookup would allow Reverse polarity to go directly to the Radio, which could cause power supply board in radio to fail.

Check these fuses, some are for Regular Audio system and others for Premium system
Fuse 2 in engine fuse box, 40 amp

Fuse 6 in Cab fuse box, 10amp
Fuse 12 in cab, 15amp
Fuse 21 in cab, 5amp

And just a heads up about jumping newer vehicle, you don't want to.............lol
Best practice is to remove one of jumping vehicles battery cables(engine off)then use Jumper cables from unhooked "good" battery to the dead battery
Try to start engine

Doing "Live Jumps" will work, but may also cause problems with either or both vehicles electrical systems.
Reversing polarity didn't help things but may not have caused your problem, just jumping could have caused it

When you connect low on power battery to another vehicles charging system, its alternator will SPIKE voltage high because of the sudden DROP of it's systems voltage when low battery is connected.
That voltage SPIKE travels through BOTH vehicles electrical systems
