I've got a mystery radiator leak that I can't trace to any common problem areas (hoses, connections, drains, etc) so I'm looking at replacing it. I found a new PBI replacement for 80 bucks. Is that a good radiator for the price? I have a 90 B2/2.9L/AT w/A/C

What if you replace the radiator and the leak continues? I think I would KNOW for sure before buying anything..

The problem is that it only leaks when its hot and the thermostat opens. Its coming from somewhere on the front side of the radiator that you can;t see when its installed. How would you leak test an uninstalled radioator without heating and pressurizing it?

Ok then you do KNOW it is the radiator that is leaking.. Go for it.

I don't know what a pbi radiator is but if I was going to change it I would let it heat up and look with a mirror etc.Gotten more than one financial black eye thinking I know but I don't. i've used junk radiators with real good luck getting the big explorer radiator is nice too.
