I want to know what you guys used for radiator hoses on your body lifted trucks? I ran stock and they kinked and started leaking. Then I bought the gates Vulcan hoses which also kinked and ended up blowing my water pump...

Something isn't right...This is the lower hose? I didn't have this issue on my '87 and I even recently replaced those hoses no problem!

Is the hose kinking or collapsing?

It's kinking. Yes the lower hose. You used the factory ones? I guess my hosed were at least 15 years old.

I used Goodyears I bought off of rockauto.com. Just standard ones for an 87 2.9 with an automatic and air conditioning. Right off the shelf...I wonder whats going on. Did you try rotating it? Maybe the previous owner put the hose on upside down or something? Seems wierd but you never know.

I bought flex hoses because that seemed fitting and they kinked. So I just got the fan clutch wrench set to put the new water pump on then when I return it I'll try the factory hoses! Thanks man!
