Finaly got the motor in last week and transfercase in yesterday. Last main problem is the exiting hose at the bottom of my stock radiator, is about 1/4 in too tall to clear the bottom of my power steering pump pulley. I have a 5.0 explorer radiator id like to use to keep cool in 4x4 but since there is only maybe 1/2in gap between my water pump and stock radiator....not sure thats gona be possible. Any ideas or solutions asap would be greatly appreciated.

I used the steel plates and 4.0 mounts and let the driveshafts locate the motor, tranny, and transfer case so i dont realy want to have to undo everything and push back. Thanks

May have to relocate rad under rad support and/or run a pusher efan.

What front belt system are you running? Pics would be good too.

Im runing serpitne and im using a pusher efan. I will post pics soon as i can. Thats what i figured id donis move it forward but the sides dont allow the radiator to fit. And without the center brace, would that make the front assembly weak and flimsy?

They make shorter water pumps, just for future reference.
And many chose to switch to an electric fan, for the space but also because you gain HP and there is much better cooling when doing low speed 4-wheeling, so +, +, and +

This thread has some pics of rad hoses and ideas for cooling the 5.0l swap

I cut out about 6" of that center brace and noticed no difference.

What you got the belt drive off of is huge, there is a big difference between F-150, Mustang and Explorer.

I used a flex hose for the bottom and have no issues. I cut out my core support to fit my 5.0 exploder rad and Taurus efan.

Link to what did is in my sig

Im running f150 water pump and brackets. Friends of mine have plentybof f150 parts so thats what i went with (i wish i didnt now lol). I cant fit any type of hose up there because there isnt enough clearance from the radiator and pump to allow a bend. I will post pics soon as possible.
