rack and pinion help!

Hey guys. Simple question. Will a 2000 ford explorer rack and pinion work in my 99 Ranger??? They look similar but I cant tell. And i am trying to find out with out actually tearing it apart and trying to fit it in to find out. If anyone could help that would be great thank you!!

easy way to check is to look at part numbers on sites like AutoZone, Advance Auto, O'Reilly's.

O'Reilly's actually has a part compatibility chart on their website for each part. It's awesome.

click compatibility, click ford, it shows 98-01 explorer.. So yes. It'll work.
