hey guys. i had a question i am doing a sas and im in the process now. i have 6.5 in eb coils and a d44. with eb radius arms. i was wondering since im lengthening my arms i am making a custom cross member type deal to mount my frame links on cause im running flex joints. do you think there is a certain size i should make the ra mounts drop for instance. do i drop the cross member down so that the ra mounts are on a 5in drop? or is 5 to much or should i drop the link mounts like 3 inches. thanks for the help.

The more you drop the mounts down, the better the truck will ride and handle. The downside is the obvious one: less clearance.
You would have to balance between these two factors and come to a compromise on it (I would think as long as you're maintaining a good enough caster angle using a set of typical 4 or 7° C-bushings at the axle, you'd be fine).

It depends on how much lift you are running. I extended my stock radius arms with 1.25" heim joints and made my own frame mount. I couldn't mount my radius arms too close to the body because the radius arms will hit when the truck flexes. I also used 7* bushings to correct the caster/pinion angle. I can't remember but does the early bronco have cast or weld on radius arm wedges? I cut mine off and moved them in. I had an idea that you could turn them then weld them to the position you want.

If you are going with a too big of a lift 7* bushings won't cut it.

well im using 7 degree bushings. i mean im just worried that mabey the drop will be to much. and my arms will be down to far. idk i might be just working my self up over it and mabey my design will work lol.. but i was just wondering what a good size drop would be i think i droped the frame link mounts 4 or 5 inches

the wedges are welded on. im not sure im debating on how much i should drop the cross member so that the ra mounts are decent
