Quiet Power Steering pump?????

i have a 99 with the 3.0 in it and i'm really sick of hearing the noise of the power steering pump, anybody ever upgraded to a quieter pump? if so what was it off of? i can fab a bracket to just about anything.

any help with be niice.

Go search in the Steering forum for the Saginaw pump, but you'll be hard pressed to find one nowadays.

Your pump is probably worn out. They are a little noisy as a by-product of the design, but you shouldn't be able to hear it over the engine, especially if the windows are closed.
