i was replacing a body mount today , to get to the top bolt i had to take up a little bit of carpet on driver side when i stumbled across a wire .. seems to be a regualr one with the rest of the bunch just was spliced and had a fuze adapter the wire im guessing shouldnt have that im assuming but at one time the wire was used to power somethign on the other end but my question is what is the green wire. is it a positive or negative , what does it connect to .

there use to be a wire ran to the bed ,wasnt connected to anything , could have been used for somethign but not shure so i cut it off , this was months ago ,. and now i found a split wire with a fuze adapter on it , wondering what it could have been used for ?

heres a picture of the wire im talking about .. thank you for looking

It wasn't factory, and I'm going to venture out on a branch and say that whatever that wire powered was removed before you got the truck.

Follow the wire to where it begins and where it ends (trace the one under the bed, too.)

(On a related note, look for screw holes where something used to be mounted. That could help explain what it was that wire powered.)

Let us know what you find.

Some people (previous owners) have wired some crazy shit up, from what other members have found...

understood man thank you for the help . still havent seen what i was wired too . just thought someone may have ventured into those wires before i read somewhere that light green is flashers or somethin i havent tried them could have been lights on top for wide load truck or something> who knows
