Quick Question about EEC relay

Was trying to find some info on the EEC relay but didn't find what I needed. I am going to change the fuel pump relay and while I am there I figure I should change the EEC relay as well. However none of the parts store list an EEC relay (rockauto, oreilly, autozone, amazon).

I remember reading somewhere that that the EEC relay uses the same relay as the fuel pump relay, is this right?

So I should just buy 2 fuel pump relays and use one of them for the EEC?

Thanks

92 Ranger 4.0L

The 93 Ranger 4.0L uses the same relay for AC/Fuel Pump/EEC.

on a 1992 the relays are mounted to clips in the underside of the "single row"
power distribution box and each has (unless I'm mistaken) a unique shape to prevent it from being incorrectly connected.

On a 1993-up all six or eight relays are exactly the same.

That is one of the reasons I used the 1993 wiring to convert
to a 4.0

OK, you know more about it than me ... hey, I'm a computer geek, not an auto mechanic. My truck is dead. I bought a used Power Distribution Box from a '93 just to see what makes it tick. My plan is to take the five wires from the old box and SOLDER (!) them to a relay, then flip my PDB over, clip the wires to my existing relay and solder in the replacement, doing away with the PDB that has a bad connection. I don't know of any other solution. If you do, I'm all "ears." Thanks.

The 92 Ranger uses a different relay for the EEC and Fuel pump, unlike the 93 that uses the same. Any auto parts store (on/offline) should know the difference based on the model year. Dunno much about cars, but I have learned a lot about the EEC Relay since mine still does not function. :)
