quick decision should i change fluid or not?

i have a 1993 ranger with 184,000 now after it going through 5 quarts within the 3000 mile oil change(fixed that problem with amazing valvoline max life full synthetic) and it also having to get a radiator flush for its first time(it came out black ). i can assume none of the other fluids have been changed. so the question is change the trans fluid and filter at this time or no?

the thing that scares me is every one says to leave it if it has been over 100,000 miles or you have a big risk of it going out on you

if you do it flush the cooler lines for the tranny while your at it.

and decide for yourself. I changed my trans fluid at 135k and it's still going strong. I believe if I DIDN'T change it, the trans would be dead by now.
