Quick center support bearing question

After 107K miles my center support bearing gave out. Got a new one, and it's a bit different, it came with metal guard for one side, but the other is open, am I missing a part or is that the way it needs to be?

It's not seated all the way in and sorry for the pic size.

Looks fine. Thats how mine looks and how the new one I put on looks. Im probably going to get a one peice drive shaft though, kinda sick of the two piece.

I was really contemplating the 1 peice shaft, but it's kind of hard to find and I need the truck back on the road.
 
Ya no problem. Im probably going to hit up the junk yards looking for a one peice this summer.
