Well, I had orginally planned a 5.0L swap into my '94 Ranger, but have recently been considering adding a turbo to my 2.3L platform. If I decide to go the turbo route, what problems am I going to run into with the following plan?
1. 2.3L block with beefed up internals
2. Dual Plug head or Single Plug head? I have heard that the DP head flows better when ported than a Single plug head
3. T3 turbo with an External WG running 15-20psi
4. Big VAM and TC computer
5. Brown top injectors
6. ARP studs to keep the head from lifting
I know that I am missing some things, but this is the plan as of right now. I will be running the stock 5-speed tranny with an upgraded clutch if I go this route. Let me know what you guys think and what else I need to add to my list. Thank you for the help!
