i have a 7.5 track lock l.s.d i need to do 3 things

i have to rearange the clutchs for harder lock up(cpcpcpc)

i have to disasembale it

and i have to clean and re lube it

1. how do i take it apart.?

how do i clean the old grease off?

what grease do i use to re lube it

how do i put it back together.:icon_welder:

grease? no grease.

Theres a set screw that holds a pin in place. remove it and pull everything out.

Brake cleaner to clean parts

get the proper weight gear oil and friction modifier from ford. dont run junk fluid. if the stuff in there is grease, not fluid, you may want to check the bearings out.

good time to do axle and pinnion seals.

once you take it apart you'll know where everything goes, that's what i always rely on. i'd say it works perfectly about 56% of the time

oh well i think thees grease on ther axel barteings that are on it. so wouldnt i clean and regrease tho? but theresa no grease inside and clutchs look ok. so i just take the small screw out and it all comes aprt or i have to takwe out the spring and spiders.
