Questions on intake

i would like to increase my hp's on my new build motor am doing, so am looking for suguesstions on hp gains! what are my options for intake and throttlebodys? anybody done swaps on the 3.0 vulcan for hp gains?

Throttle body is no good unless going FI. And your truck has a really good cold air intake from the factory.

well i know all about the websites, i was just wondering if anybody had maybe installed a later intake and TB (larger) on a 1999 3.0 and had great results

No small bolt on on any of our motors will net a great gain in power. I would go with underdrive pulleys, 1.7:1 rocker arms, escape TB, and a larger exhaust, then get a Xcal 3 tuner and tell them what you have done to your truck and they will make custom tunes just for you.

what year escape TB, does it bolt right up?

Any escape throttle body from a 3.0 duratec motor can be used.
The escape throttle body is a few mm larger than your stock throttle body, and is far from bolt on. You have to use something like JB Weld to build up the mating surface of your upper intake, and then keep your fingers crossed that you'll be able to get a gasket that will seal properly. It's a lot of work to gain a few mm imo.
