Questions about 1st generations...

Im going to buy a standard cab 1987 ranger and wanted to build a prerunner or a street truck, i havent decided yet. But was curious if all 1st Gen. short bed, single cabs had the same exterior, interior ex.( Dashboard to steering wheel, fenders and bumers etc..)
I have acsses to 1st gen. donors and was wondering if things would fit up... Any past expeirence and or advice would be great, Thanks

Aside from some minor trim level stuff they are all the same.
