i have a 98 ranger and have a 4x4 problem can someone point me in right direction to ask some about

u put in 4x4 and the lights just flash and relay under the dash just click sometimes but wont go into 4x4 sometimes 4x4 lights just flash or relays just click

Does this mean Earl43P's advice didn't help?

take the shift motor off and clean it out, spray some wire cleaner in the pigtails and it'll probably work fine for another 6 months

or

go find a manual shift and dont worry about it anymore

no i put a new motor on it today still doing it have u ever seen the switch go bad i am thinking that is it i have one ordered
