i watch the tv show trucks on horse power tv. and the guys where using that duplicolor paint in a can that all you do is shoot it on the vehicle. has anyone ever used this stuff and what kind of results did you get

I know a guy that painted his S10 with it and it looks like crap. Fisheyes everywhere. He knows how to paint, he does it every day for a living. He was looking for something cheap to use on a project truck, and it's cheap alright. I wouldn't use it.

Yes it is a really cheap product and hard to work with. It is Acrylic Lacquer and doen't require hardner so yes you can pretty much shoot it straight from the can but takes a bit of sanding and buffing to get a nice shine out of it. It goes for around $20 a quart so by the time you get enough to paint a vehicle you can buy a gallon kit of Kirker Acrylic Urethane which is much easier to work with and will last much longer. Kirker has come along way and is a pretty good product now a days. Bottom line, don't waste your time bub...

ive had customers come in after using that stuff and no one is really ever happy with it. i dont know about illinois but in georgia the ppg paint stores have omni which is an acrylic urethane thats about bottom of the line, but its still worth a crap. also depenting on what color your wanting to go with theres always delfleet essentials which isnt to expensive and its whats on like 70% plus rigs and trailers.
