Swapping my 98 2.5... my old motor thay came out had sometnjg different than the motor I just put in..

All the way to back driver side of block, directly below head flange, directly next to end of lower manifold, there's a tapped hole.. old motor has some sort of fitting with some type of insulator and a threaded stud sticking out.. I can't remember what went to it... only possible thing on my wiring harness to give me a hint or clue is a single green/white stripe wire with a rubber boot connector on it..(guesssing that's what came off that stud? Seems weird to me)

New motor has a different fitting, with a snap/click electrical connector... how can I adapt this?

I do remember a little flat braided silver cable with s ring each end bolted to firewall and somewhere on engine.. can anyone tell me where that goes?

Sounds like oil pressure switch for indicator in instrument cluster. But I'm not an expert on that motor.

The braided conductor is a ground connection.

After poking around on internet, (answers here are slow to come!! Haha..). I've come to that conclusion(oil pressure sender). Just trying to figure out how to connect the wire now.. or I could just swap and put my old one in its place?

The older pressure switches are known to leak after a while. You're better off with a new one. Either....

Splice new connector onto old wire.
Or
Buy new connector to splice on
Or
use old switch and old wire connector
Or
Buy new replacement of old style switch and connect that to old wire.

Lots of options.
