Hello to anyone who can help
I have a 2001 Ford Ranger that I have done a V-8 Swap. The donor vehicle is a 1996 Explorer. I used the motor and tranny out of the explorer and a tranfercase out of a 2001 F150. I have a question about the cruise control. Its not working! My speedo is registering fine. I used the VSS in the transfercase and had to change the speedo gear to get the mph right but that was it. I used the forum of the v-8 swap that you guys have posted and i am very thankful! but i just have the one problem of the inop cruise control. Ohh the last bit of info I have is that i have both of the books for the explorer and ranger and at the cruise control connector, my signal wire for the VSS is producing a small voltage, 0 to 1.3 AC at about 85 mph. I thought that this is a small amount and should be more. maybe this is why there is no cruise control action? But if this is true then why is the speedo producing the correct mph? I am greatful for any help. thanks
