Wuzup guyz, I have a 99 Ranger 4dr 4.0L auto trans. My current lift setup is 3" Body Lift on 31x10.50 Goodyear Tracker2's and the torsion cranked,No alignment, I bought it like it is... Now my question is, If I get it aligned will it still wear out the ball joints faster than stock? Or am I better adjusting the torsions back to stock height? I love the way it sits now, but if its going to wear the ball joints and other components faster, then ill lower it back to stock hieght... Give me some input guyz. Thanx.:icon_thumby:

If its maxed out it will wear them faster, If it is only lifted about 1.5" it should be just fine.

Look under neath the truck, find the torsion bar and follow it towards the back of the truck where the torsion bar key is. Look to see if the bolt that adjust it is cranked all the way in on both sides.

Will do. Thanx Man:icon_thumby:
Oh yeah, If its cranked all the way in, then it means its lifted 2" right? Ill just uncrank 0.5" of it to get a 1.5" only, right?

You cant just back the bolt off a 1/2 inch. You would have to measure from the ground to the bottom of the front fender opening, and then slowly back the bolt off little bit by little bit. Its best to have the weight off the front wheels when doing this.

Yeah, thats what I meant. Lack of explaining.:icon_thumby: But what Im trying to find out is, if the bolt it tightend all the way in then thats 2" lift?

It can vary, i don't believe there is a set amount of lift for a maxxed out adjuster bolt, all trucks are different depending on how worn the torsion bars are. Best be would be to find a stock truck and get measurements off of that and compare it to yours.

Someone on here might even be able to give you the height measurements you need.
