I'm actually thinking about finding a bench seat out of a ranger and trying to make it work in the front of my CJ.

What I'm wondering is...
Does it tilt forward, and if it does, does each side tilt forward independent of the other side?

I'm talking about something like this...with room for the floor mounted shifter

i'm not sure if they tilt forward, but the seat backs are completely separate from each other, its actually passenger bucket seat, and a drivers 60% bench.

both of my rangers, one single cab one extended cab, had the 60/40 split bench and both tilted forward.

What you posted is called a 60/40 split bench. If it comes out of a super cab truck it will flip forward. A regular cab set will flip forward as well, but possibly to a lesser degree. My reg cab s-10's seats didn't flip as far as the ones in my Ranger.

Thanks
It sounds like it should work just fine.

The seats that are in my Jeep now are completely trashed.
The seams are burst and most of the stuffing is gone.

I think it's about time to replace them!
