Alright so heres the deal. Are there any difference in the 2.3L starting with the dual plug? Cause this new head i got seems to have different mounting bracket holes. and it seems m other valve cover gasket wont work and when i started the truck, it spit oil right behind the cam gear throwing oil everywhere. Just wandering if there was a difference throughout the years of the 2.3L in the valve cover region? Or would it be cause i didnt put teflon on the cam gear bolt?

Well its not leaking outta the gasket. heres a few pics.

Looks to me like its coming from that lil hole or something. Any ideas??

lol yup, you're missing a cam seal. also, like you mentioned, make sure you use some teflon tape or paste on the cam gear bolt.

Well heres the thing. I got all that squared away, and its still running rough as hell. And when you unplug the mass air it runs alot smoother. I cleaned the maf, put a new fuel filter on it. Im just really confused on why its doing this..

Heres a video.
