question about rangers

With or without the diesel, bring it back. I think it would be better with the diesel. Maybe take the diesel out, bring the vehicle to the states and then put the diesel back in or sell it to me. 2.8 Powerstroke? I'm not familiar with the diesels they put in Rangers elsewhere.

It's NOT the emissions.

Ford has plenty of engines available state-side that are more than apt to move something like that around.

It's the crash tests. The Ranger as we know it's cab, once stretched out to a full 4-door arrangement can't support itself well enough in a crash.

That's why Ford released the Sport-trac, based on the Explorer. The Explorer's 4-door arrangement does support itself well enough, so they stuck a bed on the back end.

Can you get one in the U.S.? Technically you probably can, but you'd be dealing with some shady people. Otherwise, start practicing those fabrication skills.

yea the reason we dont have them here is because they cant pass our crash testing. I doubt you could get one registered. Maybe you could call like the RMV or something and ask

the guy who brought the 4 door ranger from mexico had it in canada, not the us. just thought id clear it up. ud probly have to drive it up from the dealers in mexico.
