Ok. I have replaced my shift motor. On my dash on the push button switch my low range light is always on but its in 2wd. I start my bii push in clutch hit low range light doesnt do nething stays solid. I hit 4x4 high nothn no lights. I do hear the click from shift control module behind my seat when i press either button. I happened to be under dash and was lookn at the NSS and seen theres a plug with like 5 or 6 wires plugged in.the 2 wires closest to the firewall have been clipped. The one closest to the firewall cant be found. The second pink wire wired back into main harness. And theres a black plug just layn down there. cant find Where it goes. I wonder if these wires send info to t case to let it knw i press in clutch

You don't need the clutch in to change into 4x4 Hi or Lo. The truck has to be in Neutral with the brake applied.

So those wires shouldnt cause me ne probs then. Ok thanx for the help guess ill replace the switch now

It shouldn't cause issues, No. To determine if the NSS is functioning right if you want to make sure, put the truck in neutral without depressing the clutch and turn the key. it shouldn't start.

It starts w/out clutch ao im guessin someone has bypassed it
