K, heres the thing, if im on the highway running say 60, and I start on a overpass, I feel my truck kinda hesitates, the thing is, if I turn off the O/D it doesnt do it...:icon_confused: please help... any ideas?

Well if its anything like my GMC, its becasue yoru torque converter is locked up in overdrive and the truck will start lugging a bit. Reason it doesn't do it with od off is because you are running a little higher RPMs and the truck wont lug as much.

that sounds like what it does, how can I fix that prob? maybe the torgue converter going out? god I hope not, I that maybe my fuel pump clugging up, cuzing it to lug do to not enough fuel?

No not nessesarily. It just lugs. its like driving a 5 speed slow in 5th gear and starting up a hill on the freeway. Its going to lug and feel like its got nothing. Down shift and it will gain speed again and be fine. If you want to test my theory, get back on the freeway and instead of doing 60, kick it up to 70 or so and see if it lugs and hesitates again. If it dont, then I would suggest maybe regearing if anything. In my '97 GMC, i am running a 6" RCD lift and 35's. If i am going 60 or 60 and am in OD, my truck will lug and kick my converter in and out in and out. The power to weight to gearing ratio is too low. So i run my truck in 3rd unless i am going to be going over 60 on flat ground, or i will leave it in 3rd reguardless of my speed if Im towing or going through up and down and twisty roads. I am regearing myself here soon as i get my dana 44 and coils under the front of her.

It did it once a like a yr ago, then i would say over the last few months i have noticed its when ever i engage a overpass.

about a yr ago, I did plugs but not wires, and airfilter was last yr, i clean it once a month tho, and fuel filter is almost 3 yrs ago. to busy at work been neglating my poor truck i know. now im trying to get everything back up to par.

How does the tranny fluid look>? Burnt at all?
