Question about Auto trans

Hello guys! Long time lurker, 1st time poster. I just bought a 96 ranger 4.0 4x4 with an Auto trans that seems to be in need of some attention. I drive it and it does ok, but down the line i'm going to need to yank it out. My question is this, what AT is best pared up with the 4.0? I've got time to look around and find a replacement but it would help if i had a specific tranny to look for.
