okay so i am borrowing an uncle's trailer.......

and the ball was 2 5/16" (i think, i know it was bigger then 2") so i had to borrow his receiver. But my truck rides alot lower then his and my springs are pretty sad.

this is the style receiver i am borrowing from him

now in order for me to use this receiver i will have to flip upside (opposite of the pic) and move the ball mount up the adjuster (so it is moved further away from the receiver tube) i'm not real familar with these adj. receivers so i am asking if this is safe before i do it?

i normally use this style receiver

but have it flipped so it rises not drops.........

so is it okay to have the adj receiver up that high, or should i buy my own 2 5/16 ball and use my receiver ........i really can't afford to spend any $$$ cause everything i got is going towards gas for the gig..........whats my options

i am towing a normal tandom car hauler trailer with my B2 (approx 5000lbs) on it

With an adjustable receiver like that you can still flip them.. What I can't tell from the pic however is if the shank (piece that slides in the reciever with the holes in it) is a solid steel bar or hollow tube.

If it is solid the rathing will not change by flipping it over.

If it is hollow the limit is about 25% less than what it's rated for when flipped.

Can you put his ball on your drawbar?

i went and bought a new ball for my receiver and am using that
