so heres the deal, i have an extended cab ranger, but there are no back seats..only the driver and passenger seats are there. There are compartments where the seats usually are.

im wondering how hard it would be to take one out of a recked ranger or something and just put it in..are they just bolted to the floor?

thanks for your help

yep you could do that, I would imagine the holes are there, they may just need to have a tap ran through them.

Last time I went looking for bolt holes to add something in a ranger, they were already threaded. They had plastic plugs in the hole, but they were tapped. YMMV.
Most of the time, it is easier for manufacturers to put all the holes and threads in place in each cab design than to decide during manufacturing what not to do.

I think it takes a T45 or T50 Torx for the seat belt back there, and maybe 13mm for the other 5(?) bolts. Been awhile since I took my driver's side out though(subwoofer is there now).

haha ya gotta be rockin the subwoofer in the back of the ranger! i have the 10 inch kicker L5 right behind the driver seat, so im looking for a back seat behind the passenger.

SOO! the consenses is that i can just rip one out, and throw some bolts throw it and it will fit like a glove? (might have to tap the holes?), but the holes most likely will be there?

seats

I tossed MY jump seats to save weight, almost fifty pounds. The right seat well makes for good storage for my winch bag.

my passenger side is removed to fit subs also...2 12"s... my overkill hahah

yeah, I tossed mine when I got the extended cab too...couldn't believe how much those suckers weighed!

Unless you're planning on carrying passengers often I'd say pass on them to save yourself some gas...may not make a big difference overall...but it is extra weight that may not be necessary...

aight, ya i guess ill pass on that, i usually just have people sit on the ground but just trying to make it alittle better for them.....what 12" subs do you have in a ranger?
