Just put a K&N filter on the Ranger, drove it around for a week and now the CEL is on. Had it scaned and the code was a lean bank 1 and 2, anybody know why the truck is doing this?

What year of a truck? It is most likely your mass airflow sensor (MAF) so buy some cleaner, it's about $6.99 from Checkers and clean the sensor, the connections, and then disconnect and reconnect your battery before restart. It may take a few turns of the key for it to start but that should solve it, if it is the MAF.

o, Make sure you didn't take your MAF about.....most people just pull the box and sensor and put the filter on the hose, not knowing what the sensor is for....

Is it a drop in filter? Most likely it got over oiled and some of the oil got on the MAF sensor causing it to get miss readings about how much air is in the engine.

Clean out the maf sensor and reset the light and see how it does. also clean off any extra oil that might be sitting in the intake past the filter.

Thanks guys, im gonna try cleaning the MAF sensor
