put 5.0 in 95 ranger 2.3

Ok heres the deal I have 89 mustang 5.0 drivetrain I want to put it in a 95 ranger that has a 2.3 has anyone did this and how hard was it. And if you have any pointers that would be great!

is it 2 or 4 wheel? It makes a difference.

it's 2 wheel drive extended cab I want to put motor,trans and rearend in the ranger it is also a fuel inj 5.0 motor I have the whole mustang.

Shouldn't be too terrible. Its harder if you have a 4x4 because the pumpkin and the oil pan want some of the same space.

Ditch the mustang's axle for an explorer 8.8" axle. Mustangs were 28 spline coil over set up with 4 bolt lug pattern... the explorere axle is much stronger and is WAY easier to adapt to a ranger frame. Having the whole car is good, but you'll want to find a 5.0L explorer radiator or equivalent to cool it as a 2.3L radiator won't do and a mustang radiator would require some extensive cutting. Basically, check out the tech library as most of your questions should be answered.
